Call for Speakers @ Javantura v5

Call for Speakers and Talks / Workshops Proposals is open until January 29th (extended), 2018.

Once again, it is our pleasure to invite you to Javantura v5 – 5th International Java Community Conference in Croatia, which will be organized on February 17, 2018 in Zagreb, Croatia, EU.

This is a great opportunity to tell your story, share your experience, show your results and promote your product, your company and yourself in front of 400+ people, including developers, software architects, and project managers, as well as media representatives, potential partners or clients. As a place of intense social networking, it may also be a natural way not only to discuss your projects and trending technologies but also to seek for new employees or find a new job.

javantura-v4-dvorana1Once again, we invite you to help us build a great conference and submit your proposal to become one of the speakers at Javantura conference. If you think there is something interesting that you want to share with the rest of the community, please submit it, as early as possible.

We expect to see most of the well known and highly respected speakers from our previous Javantura conferences, JavaCro conferences, and HUJAK’s meetups, as well as other great Java conferences. Regardless of whether you are an experienced speaker or this is your first presentation in our conferences, we invite you to submit a proposal.

Additionally, we strongly encourage HUJAK members to submit talk proposals – this is the easiest way to show your achievements in front of your own community. For a better chance of being selected, we highly encourage you to submit a proposal earlier than the final deadline. All authors will be contacted upon receipt of presentation proposal according to conference dates schedule, no later that notification of acceptance date. You can also read FAQ, and if you have any specific question, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Additional info

Official conference languages are both English and Croatian, but this is an international conference and we encourage you to present in English. All authors can submit more than one presentation.

All talks should be more of a technical nature, not promotional or sales. It is advisable to be objective as possible and to show both benefits and problems you may have encountered.

In general, all talks are scheduled to 30 minutes slots with a 5 or more minutes breaks in between. If you need more time (e.g. 45 or 60 minutes) for your talk or workshop please contact us before you submit, and take into consideration that it should all fit into prescheduled time slots.

Terms and Conditions

By submitting the talk, author(s) and speaker(s) accept(s) Javantura conference terms and conditions.

Presentations and speeches must conform with expected levels of quality and conference standards and all deadlines should be respected. Conference organizers may freely and without restrictions use submitted presentation materials and content to promote the conference and related activities. The presentation is commonly presented by the first author, although other coauthors may participate and will be acknowledged. The presentation will be held in a schedule provided by conference organizers. Organizers cannot be held responsible for violation of copyright or plagiarism.

Authors do not have to pay the conference fee. In general, organizers will not compensate travel and accommodation costs for authors. Organizers reserve the right to change the time and terms of presentations at all times. If there are any, authors should submit information on any special conditions that organizer should provide.

All Javantura conference attendees, including speakers, sponsors, and volunteers, are required to agree to the following code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event, and we are expecting cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everyone.

Javantura conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. Javantura conference organizers will not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery are not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter, and other online media. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers.
